Reader. Dreamer. Writer.
When does the travel bug bite? No certain time for that urge to travel to bubble up your thoughts. So why not be prepared in the best way? That is The Bookling’s Crate’s motto for May – ‘Travel the World’. The Bookling’s Crate is a monthly book subscription service that delivers a Young Adult fantasy read along with bookish merchandise. They launched the service in January, 2017 and I loved their previous boxes. The Bookling’s Crate is based in India and has free shipping all over India. Also, you can get a flat Rs.50 discount using the promo code SATCHEL50.

4. A Felt Bookmark
5. Travel Stickers (4)
6. Art card by Amol

The Book
The surprise book turned out to be a paperback copy of Windfall by Jennifer E. Smith.
Goodreads synopsis:
Alice doesn’t believe in luck or love. On the eighteenth birthday of her friend, Teddy, she buys him a lottery ticket and he wins $140 million, and in an instant, everything changes. They negotiate the ripple effects of Teddy’s newfound wealth and a gulf opens between them. Soon, the money starts to feel like more of a curse than a windfall. As they try to find their way back to each other, Alice learns more about herself than she ever could have imagined and about the unexpected ways in which luck and love sometimes intersect.
Review of the box
The May box was a bit different from the previous boxes. It had more prints and stationery items included in the goodie list. Let’s get to the unboxing.
The packaging was excellent and all items were plastic wrapped. There is a card inside that mentions the individual items included in the box.
My favourite this month is the personalised luggage tag. It almost makes me want to go on a trip to flaunt it. The tag has my name on it and comes with a plastic strap. Another super useful goodie included in this month’s box is the compass. Very handy especially if you are planning on going for treks or exploring new places.
I love that The Bookling’s crate always includes a packet of food or drink. The May box contains one packet of Beanstalks N Leaves coffee powder. If you are a frequent visitor to this blog, you know I love coffee. So I was happy to get a packet. The May box would appeal to art print lovers since it has stickers and an art print by Amol. There is a tote included for easy travel as well.

This is a wonderful concept. (Wonder if it could be adapted here in Mexico)
Still not getting your replies. So aggravating. I think I will get back to Apple support.
Be good my dear.

No idea why it is happening to you. The other blogs seem to be getting the replies in WordPress Reader. Thanks for dropping by.
Helloooo! It works. I did follow Support’s advice (erase all cookies) and you are now back on my comment and reply thing. Delighted to be back in direct touch. Take care of yourself.

(PS, I need to send a thank you mail to WP support) 🙂
I am delighted to hear that since you have been facing the problem for so long! It is a good day them.
Yes. It’s nice to be in direct touch. I love your love for books. 🙂 (And I also love beating the technical hurdles…) be good. Read good books and share them with us. (my current books are not up to expectations) 😉
I love these unboxings! It’s so neat to see what other bookish services are offering all around the world! I also think the best item is the luggage tag, but I might be biased. 😉 I haven’t heard of Windfall yet; it sounds really interesting. I look forward to your future review!
I love the luggage tag too; it is a useful item. I haven’t heard of the book either.
It seems really neat to get these packages with a surprise book. The food and beverage part is also a nice touch.
Happy reading!
Yes it is, nice to have a surprise package. I think teens would love it.
So pretty!
Thank you. Book boxes have nice surprises.
Very cute stuff!
Nice to find surprises in packages
What a great box with excellent contents! I love book subscription boxes. Even though 90% of the time I don’t really want the little trinkets that come with the boxes, finding out what they are is SO MUCH FUN!!
I totally get what you mean. It is like opening gifts and finding out what is inside.
This is an awesome box! I love the travel theme, and the items have a practical use and are great for travels.
True. I think the luggage tag and the compass will be very handy for travels
I’ve actually read Windfall. I didn’t think it was amazing but it also wasn’t bad either. It’s quite a refreshing YA piece overall so I hope you enjoy it if you ever decide to read it.

Same. I heard it is not mind blowing but an okay-read. So I have to keep it for a particularly relaxing day.
Lovely post! I really want to try out one of the many book boxes, but there are just so many. Not to say the risk of paying taxes if you’re buying one from overseas and you get unlucky.
That is so true. I was happy to see many India based book boxes springing up because shipping is so expensive
